BENADRYL^® for Children Allergy Solution is specifically designed for children, to provide long lasting relief from allergy symptoms. The banana flavored product contains cetirizine, and provides all day relief for dust, pet and skin allergies as well as hay fever.

This product is available over the counter for children ages 6+.

Additionally BENADRYL^® makes ‘BENADRYL^® Allergy Children’s 1mg/ml Oral Solution’ which is suitable for children 2 years and older. You can purchase BENADRYL^® Allergy Children’s solution from your local pharmacy.

Dosage: For oral use.

Age: Children 6+

Dose:

Children 6 – 12 years: One 5ml spoonful in the morning and one 5ml spoonful in the evening.

Children 12 and over: Two 5ml spoonfuls to be swallowed once a day.

Benadryl Allergy Children’s 6 1mg/ml Oral Solution, at the recommended dose, does not cause drowsiness in the majority of people. However, rare cases of drowsiness have been reported. If affected do not drive or operate machinery. As with all antihistamines, avoid excessive alcohol consumption when taking this medicine. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding consult your doctor before taking this product. If symptoms persist consult your doctor or pharmacist.

The active ingredient in Benadryl Allergy Children’s 6+ 1mg/ml Oral Solution is: 1 mg Cetirizine dihydrochloride in each 1 ml. Other ingredients are: Sorbitol (E420), glycerol, propylene glycol, sodium saccharinate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), banana flavouring, sodium acetate, glacial acetic acid and purified water.
