Burning that lockdown weight
Working from home has it perks; you save on travel cost and also time you would have spent commuting to work. So, what’s the issue with working from home? Well, even if you are very active, you may find that you have gained some lockdown weight.
Don’t worry, we have carried out research to identify a list of things you can do to help you shift this weight.
- Identify your why? Why do you wish to lose weight? This is super important understanding the reason for your desire to lose weight is important to preparing your mind for the task ahead. Write your reason down on your phone or somewhere memorable, perhaps stick it on your fridge. Every day take a look at it and remind yourself.
- Set yourself a goal – how much realistically do you think you can lose and within what time frame? Remember, this is basically a promise you have made to yourself, so you must be determined to hold yourself accountable.
- Weight loss happens in the kitchen – this is a cliché but it’s so true! You can work out as much as you want, if your diet does not complement your work out – it’s pointless
- Work out – well, you might think I mean running for 2 hours straight, this is actually not necessary unless you feel up to it. Remember, exercise requires stamina. You may only be able to run for 5 minutes initially, but keep doing it and you will find that eventually you can run for 10, 20, 30 and then even 60 minutes. The key is consistency and a desire to push for more.
These are my top tips, and believe me they work – I lost 30kg in a year, 11kg in the first month of me taking this super serious.
