General Wellbeing

After 70 it is even more important to ensure that you are getting the adequate levels of nutrients in your daily diet. Wellwoman 70+ contains thiamin (vit.B1), copper and iron which contribute to normal energy release. Vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid are also included as they contribute to normal formation of red blood cells. Plus iron which contributes to normal formation of haemoglobin, the substance that helps to transport oxygen around the body. Vitamins B6, B12 and Riboflavin (Vit. B2) contribute to normal energy release. The specially tailored formula also includes Lutein Esters, Alpha lipoic acid, Coenzyme Q10 and L-Carnitine.

Brain and Nervous System

Wellwoman 70+ includes iron, iodine and zinc which contribute to normal cognitive function plus pantothenic acid which contributes to normal mental performance. Wellwoman 70 + also contains vitamin B6, with biotin and vitamin C which contribute to normal functioning of the nervous system.

Immune Health

Immune health is also a serious consideration as you get older. Wellwoman 70+ includes vitamin C, B12 and D plus minerals zinc and iron which help to maintain the normal function of the immune system. UK Department of Health advice: adults aged 65 and over should take a supplement containing vitamin D. Vitamin C, E and selenium contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Heart and Blood Formation

Wellwoman 70+ contains iron, riboflavin (vit B2), B6 and B12 which contribute to normal red blood cell formation. Plus vitamin B1 which contributes to the normal function of the heart. The formula also includes vitamin C which increases non-haem (plant source) iron absorption, an important consideration for vegetarians.
